SUMMARY

Join Environmental Education Leadership Corps (EELCorps) as an AmeriCorps Environmental Educator Volunteer (with stipend) at The Berry Center’s Farm and Forest Institute, a site partner in Henry County, Kentucky. The Berry Center (TBC) is a farmer and rural advocacy nonprofit that provides experiential, community education in farm and forest management and the culture of agriculture. The primary service and supervision for this part-time, 900 hour position will be with the Institute’s Woodland and Draft Animal Skills Instructor.  The person selected for this position will also have the opportunity to work across The Berry Center’s programs (Agrarian Archive and Library, Agrarian Culture Center and Bookstore, Our Home Place Meat). Primary responsibilities include working in a woodland on a production livestock farm, instructional assistance and demonstrations, contribution to curriculum development (especially youth programs), and community relations through The Berry Center events and programs. Compensation includes a $10,750 living allowance, $3,697.50 education award, and environmental education professional development training. Application deadline: August 24, 2026.
